PEDRAM MOALLEMIAN

Born over four decades ago in a Tehran middle-class family, much of my growing up coincided with the Iranian revolution and its immediate aftermath. For many from my generation, politics became our primary hobby and for a few of us a bit more. Personally, that meant a few tumultuous years that included multiple arrests, beatings, torture and more.

I left Iran before I was 17 and on my own and spent majority of my life in Canada, where I managed to continue my public life in various ways.

I am currently a resident of Los Angeles and working on writing the stories of those years in an upcoming book. Eyeranian was born as a way to express my “opinions and observations” in my new home but it also led to meeting my wonderful wife, the only reader of my blog I ever dated.

Here, I regularly write about my thoughts and aspirations, often sinking too deep in politics. Hope you stop by often and share your comments, criticisms and general input as well.

If you still need to know more, this may be a good place to start digging. To contact me, send an email to; pmoallemian [AT] gmail [DOT] com.

Thanks for reading this and all the best!
