On Being Sick!

I admire folks who can be sick and still act dignified and functional. I cannot. If I’m sick, even the neighbors know it and they better behave in order to preserve my needed rest. When I’m sick, I ache in places that have nothing to do with the particular illness and when I’m sick, somebody better be available to occasionally baby me even though unnecessary.
Because ladies and gentlemen, I am the grumpiest, most vulnerable and demanding sick person on earth. Particularly when it’s an untimely and unnecessary sickness like a cold in the heat of summer!!!
UPDATE - Aug. 10th - Thank you so much for your expressed concerns. I am well again to focus and write! Hopefully I don’t have to deal with another episode of illness for a while.
