Had to attend a funeral yesterday. After listening to the pastor trying desperately to turn the whole life of my departed friend in to a lesson about how urgently the rest of us need to get a little bit of Jesus in our lives, I became convinced even further about how fanatics are the same, no matter what background they have, what language they preach in or what version of the God concept they promote.
You’d have to be pretty desolate to try to score “points” on someone’s day of anguish, and that is exactly what happened yesterday and what happens everyday around the world.
Religious fanatic dudes of the world are certainly shameless and without any class whatsoever. The old ones I was used to wore turbans, then I hung around the ones in military boots and yesterday I had to listen to the suit and tie version of the same dude.
