I apologize to those of you who read this blog from all over the world and find many of the posts are rather North-American centric (is there such a word?) in nature. After all, what you see here is a reflection of my own life and is basically my "random observations and opinions", so it naturally includes much that would only make sense or be important to someone who lives in the "new world". I promise to understand the same point, when I read your blogs from New Zealand, South Africa and Lebanon.
I used to think A&E's Bill Kurtis had the ultimate dramatic voice for the type of shows he was doing. He started with Investigative Reports and American Justice, then moved on to Special Reports and the Cold Case files. It got to the point that the entire A&E channel looked like Bill TV for a while. Whatever show he hosted, his voice and mannerism carried it and it still does.
But then I discovered City Confidential and its "voice", that of Paul Winfield. This guy's voice was made for a show like this. If you haven't watched the show, you owe it to yourself to check it out. And maybe you get lucky and see the episode about your own city or town. They each have a secret or two. You'll see.
