Toronto, Here I Come! |
Hey Pedram, you must've just posted this. Have a good trip. Like many had predicted, Tehran is rather quiet. Expect a few clashes tonight and maybe over the next few nights. More arrests, more violence, more temporary unrest, but nothing major. Look forward to reading your new posts next week.
Posted by: visitor at July 9, 2003 06:34 AMAre you going for the SARS Rolling Stones concert? You've already missed Gay Pride parade, so it can't be that.
The West Indian parade? Are you part of the little-known west-Indian-Iranian minority?
Or are you just going to snort some homemade Toronto Smog?

Posted by: Ramin at July 11, 2003 06:12 PMHey man, I really got so surprized how an english weblog can affect foreigners. I think it's worthy if you put more effort on encouraging others to start an english version of their weblog. As you know they have banned persianblog and blogspot, so it can be a good starting point for who wants to have a website instead of a weblog.
Posted by: Ali at July 11, 2003 09:10 PMI know you'll be back Sunday Pedram but then why do I check back almost hourly for updates? Is it a sympton of a disease? Is it terminal? Long after global warming has destroyed all life my bony finger will be stuck to the F5 key on my keyboard refreshing a black screen hoping that your site has been updated.
Or maybe I should just go do something productive.
Posted by: Kombiz at July 12, 2003 11:28 PMHello Pedram!
Thanks for your answer to my last posting. I couldn't write earlier because I don't have much time now (I started learning Chinese!) and sometimes there are too much words I don't understand.
Hope, you had a nice trip and could relax from work. We'll go to the Czech Republic for a weekend soon, and I'll work for two weeks (we have holidays here). It's strange, but most students work in their vacations here and don't make journeys. I'm so glad about vacations, but next year I'll have Konkoor and I'll have to study hard.
Anyway, I whish you a good time -in work or holiday!
@persian girl: Why do you have to go to summer school though you have holidays? Here, we only have facultative summer schools for studying English.
@Kombiz: Why did global warming destroy all your life? I don't understand that.
Sorry for asking so much questions, but I'd like to know more about life in Iran because there, nothing seems to be as where I live.
Dorood,
Theresia
My point is that after Armageddon, I'll still be coming back for updates.
